MOIRA PARADE RESERVE

Public BBQ

Moira Parade Reserve claims a prime waterfront position where the Myall River meets tranquil waters, delivering sunset views that draw locals and visitors alike. The reserve centres around a well-maintained playground and expansive grassed areas suitable for cricket or casual ball games, while clean barbecue facilities with running water stand ready for family gatherings. The adjacent boat ramp provides easy water access, and the shallow, protected beach makes it particularly appealing for young swimmers. True to its name, the reserve hosts a parliament of surprisingly tame pelicans, alongside gulls and occasional black swans. A waterfront walking path features thoughtful touches like dog water taps and bubblers. However, toilet facilities remain unreliable due to vandalism, requiring council attention. Parking proves limited during peak periods, and the modest shopping precinct sits conveniently nearby for supplies.
